With a meteoric rise including the National New Play Network’s 2012 Smith Prize and the Edinburgh Festival’s 2013 Fringe First award, George Brant’s\u00a0Grounded\u00a0<\/em>is a solo-play of Odyssean proportions. \u00a0After discovering she\u2019s pregnant, an ace F-16 fighter pilot finds<\/span>\u00a0herself reassigned to the Air Force drone program. By day she hunts terrorists, piloting a<\/span>\u00a0remote-controlled drone from an air-conditioned trailer in the Nevada<\/span>\u00a0desert. Each night she returns home, retreating to the routines of civilian life and parenthood.\u00a0<\/span>But navigating the shift may<\/span>\u00a0prove to be the most dangerous mission of all.<\/span><\/p>\n
