About the Artists:<\/b><\/p>\n

Kate Braidwood<\/strong> (Cast, Deviser, Mask and Sound Designer):<\/p>\n

Kate Braidwood, WONDERHEADS Co-Founding \u2018Head\u2019, is an actor, deviser,\u00a0sound designer, director and teacher. \u00a0She is also a professional mask maker,\u00a0responsible for the big heads used in WONDERHEADS\u2019 work and whose masks\u00a0are used on stages, in films and in classrooms around the world. \u00a0As an actor she has performed nationally and internationally, including credits with Miracle Theatre (Portland OR), Theatre SKAM (Victoria BC), The Dell\u2019Arte Company (Blue Lake, CA), Furano Natural Studio (Japan), and Four on the Floor (Arcata, CA). \u00a0Kate is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a BFA in Acting and she earned her MFA in Ensemble Based Physical Theatre from Dell\u2019Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where she trained as an actor-creator, studying the development of original, physically driven work in ensemble. \u00a0It was at Dell\u2019Arte that her passion for mask was truly ignited and developed, during which time she trained in the Italian form of Commedia Dell\u2019Arte, studied mask performance with Joan Schirle and Ronli<\/p>\n
