ABOUT THE PLAY<\/h5>\n

Chapatti <\/i><\/b>is a love story between two people who have given up on the possibility of love. Dan lives<\/span> alone in a Dublin flat and spends his time with his dog, Chapatti. Betty also lives alone \u2013 with her nineteen cats. <\/span>Chapatti<\/span><\/i> is a tender, funny, compassionate and unsentimental play about second chances. It has a gentle and straightforward tone, a purity and immediacy that relies on the power of the spoken word, the challenge of communication, and the complexity of lived and shared experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chapatti <\/span><\/i>premiered at Chicago\u2019s Northlight Theatre in 2014 starring Tony Award winner John Mahoney,<\/span> where it was nominated for a Jeff Award for Best New Work.<\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT<\/b><\/h5>\n

Originally from Listowel, Christian O\u2019Reilly is a playwright and screenwriter based in Galway, Ireland. His plays have been produced in Ireland and internationally by companies such as Druid and Rough Magic. He was a recipient of the Stewart Parker Trust New Playwright Bursary for his debut play <\/span>The Good<\/span><\/i> Father<\/span><\/i>. Christian is a graduate of the BBC Writers\u2019 Academy, where he was trained to write for<\/span> Doctors<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0<\/span>Casualty<\/span><\/i>,<\/span> Eastenders <\/span><\/i>and<\/span> Holby City<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
