The design wizards and backstage magicians of Luna Gale<\/em><\/strong><\/a> have created a space that effortlessly transitions from hospital waiting room to Perkins restaurant to a “standard-issue everything” \"\"social worker’s office to modest ranch house kitchen in mere seconds. “There\u2019s just enough scenic detail and lighting onstage to make locations like Caroline\u2019s office or Cindy\u2019s kitchen feel real, but also contained,” writes The Oregonian\/OregonLive’s TJ Acena<\/a>, “so it never distracts when scenes happen elsewhere.” Thanks to individually hand painted floor tiles, smartly chosen practical lighting fixtures, minimal but specific props and set pieces, and subtle costuming details, Luna Gale<\/em><\/strong>‘s characters and locations come to life with immediacy and unity. Nicole Gladwin (Stage Manager)<\/b> has been stage managing for companies all over Portland for the past 17 years. She has worked for Profile Theatre, CoHo Productions, The Christmas Revels, Miracle Theater Group, 2Boards Productions, Many Hats Collaboration, defunkt theatre, Sand and Glass Productions, Oregon Repertory Theatre, Theatre Vertigo, Action\/Adventure Theatre, Shaking the Tree, Playwrights West, and spent four seasons as Stage Manager in Residence with Stark Raving Theatre. Favorite past productions performed in the CoHo include <\/span>Faust. Us.<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>The Vespiary<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>The Mark<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>Hamlet<\/span><\/i>, and <\/span>The Few<\/span><\/i>. Nicole is the proud three-time recipient of Portland’s Spotlight Award for Stage Management. She is happy to be back at CoHo (where she just finished stage managing <\/span>This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing<\/span><\/i>)<\/span> working with Brandon and our excellent cast and design team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kristeen Willis Crosser (Scenic Design)<\/b> is thrilled to be back working on a show at CoHo. Previously, she designed for several CoHo Productions, including <\/span>The Gun Show<\/span><\/i> (Scenery, Lights & Projection). She is on staff at Artists Repertory Theatre as Associate Producer and Production Manager and regularly designs such works as <\/span>The Humans<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Between Riverside and Crazy<\/span><\/i>. She has designed scenery and\/or lighting for several area theatres including PCS\u2019s <\/span>Mary\u2019s Wedding<\/span><\/i>; Northwest Children Theatre\u2019s <\/span>Shrek The Musical<\/span><\/i>; Oregon Children’s Theatre\u2019s <\/span>Goosebumps The Musical<\/span><\/i>; Miracle Theatre\u2019s <\/span>Oedipus El Rey <\/span><\/i>(2012 Drammy); Profile Theatre’s <\/span>Master Harold & the Boys<\/span><\/i> (2013 Drammy) and Third Rail Repertory Theatre\u2019s <\/span>A Bright New Boise<\/span><\/i> (2014 Drammy) and <\/span>Gideon’s Knot <\/span><\/i>(2014 Drammy). Jeff Woods (Lighting Design) <\/b>has designed over 200 productions since 1996, working with some of Portland\u2019s favorite theatres (past and present) including Triangle! Productions, Theatre Vertigo, Stark Raving Theatre, Post5, Shaking the Tree, and CoHo Productions. Recent designs include <\/span>Him Her Them Us<\/span><\/i> for Southwest Stageworks,<\/span> Avenue Q<\/span><\/i> at triangle! Productions, and <\/span>Miss Julie<\/span><\/i> for Shaking the Tree. Jeff lives in Portland with his wife and son, and a few cats. anomalight.com<\/span>

Gina Piva (Costume Design)<\/b> graduated with a BA in Theater Arts in 2012 and began a design apprenticeship with Portland Playhouse for their 2013-2014 Season. Since then, Gina has been working as a freelance costume designer with both professional theater companies and high school theater programs. Recent design credits include <\/span>Twelfth Night<\/span><\/i> (Post 5), <\/span>Gruesome Playground Injuries<\/span><\/i> (Action\/Adventure), <\/span>One Man, Two Guvnors<\/span><\/i> (Clackamas Repertory Theater), <\/span>Davita\u2019s Harp <\/span><\/i>(Jewish Theater Collaborative), <\/span>Lifeboat<\/span><\/i> (Corrib Theatre), and <\/span>The Mermaid Hour<\/span><\/i> (Milagro Theatre).<\/span><\/p>\n

Sean Roberts (Technical Director)<\/b> is excited to be technical director for this production of <\/span>Luna Gale<\/span><\/i>. His last credit was board operator for Profile Theatre’s <\/span>The Happiest Song Plays Last<\/span><\/i>. He worked as a scenic carpenter, electrician, and assistant technical director for two years while completing his BFA at Western Washington University. He is now a staff member at Artists Repertory Theatre. Outside the theater, Sean enjoys writing, drawing, and exploring the forests of the Pacific Northwest. <\/span><\/p>\n

Nicki D\u2019Amico (Props Design)<\/b> is delighted to be part of the <\/span>Luna Gale<\/span><\/i> creative team, as this story has personal significance. A native New Yorker, Nicki has worked as an artist and in theater across the East Coast since childhood, and in the PNW for the past ten years. Currently, finishing a series of oil paintings to be shown this Spring, finalizing the conceptual movement piece she hopes to produce and direct, and filming the literary rap battle she wrote are all on her immediate to-do list. She hopes to find enthusiastic support as she expands her artistic reach. This show is dedicated to her beloved dogs, Lola, Remy and Wren.<\/span><\/p>\n
