Upcoming projects include a translation of <em>Yerma<\/em> (Lorca) at The Huntington Theatre, June 2019. Her award-winning play <em>Sonia Flew <\/em>(Elliot Norton Award, IRNE Award) has been produced all over the country including: Huntington Theatre Company, Steppenwolf, Coconut Grove Playhouse, Contemporary American Theater Festival, San Jose Repertory Theatre, and many others. Other plays include <em>Becoming Cuba, <\/em>(Huntington Theatre Company,) <em>Back the Night, (<\/em>Boston Playwrights Theatre,) <em>Caroline in Jersey <\/em>(Williamstown Theatre Festival), <em>Orchids to Octopi <\/em>(Central Square Theater, commissioned by the National Institutes of Health for the Darwin bicentennial), <em>Gary <\/em>(Steppenwolf First Look Repertory, BPT), <em>Alexandros <\/em>(Laguna Playhouse), &nbsp;<em>Midnight Sandwich\/Medianoche <\/em>(Elliot Norton Award Outstanding Solo Performance, Coconut Grove Playhouse), and multiple short plays. Ms. Lopez is among the first cohort of playwrights to receive a three-year residency grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and she was the first recip\u00adient of the Charlotte Woolard Award, given by The Kennedy Center to a \u201cpromising new voice in American theatre.\u201d She has served as a panel member for the City of Boston, the NEA, the Cambridge Arts Panel and she has enjoyed residencies with Sundance, the Lark, the New York Theatre Workshop, and Harvard University. Nicholas<\/strong> is a playwright and producer who has returned to Portland after 20 years in New York and Los Angeles.<strong> <\/strong>Her plays include <em>Petting Zoo Story<\/em> (Primary Stages ESPA &amp; NY Shorts Festival), <em>Villa Thrilla<\/em> (villathrilla.com); <em>Our Dark Connection<\/em>, <em>The Elegant Dinner<\/em>, <em>Searching for Mary Jane<\/em> (commissioned for Theatre in the Dark, Odyssey Theatre, LA Weekly Theatre Award nominee); <em>Lu\/Lou<\/em> (Dorothy Lyman), <em>The Beaver Suite <\/em>(Friends and Artists Theatre &amp; Metropolitan Stage, NYC) <em>Buddha Belly<\/em> and <em>Incunabula<\/em>, performed for radio by LA Theatre Works, available on Audible.
