Eight Directors will cook up original theater pieces for this one-time event, hosted by LiveWire! Radio\u2019s Tyler Hughs. These delicious, Portland-based artists represent the smorgasbord of Portland\u2019s theater talent that view CoHo as a creative home. This event will raise funds for CoHo\u2019s artist salaries.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jonathan Cole<\/strong> is a director, fight director and performer based in Salem, and is the co-owner of Revenge Arts Stage Combat. He is a Society of American Fight Directors Certified Teacher and Advanced Actor Combatant, and an Associate Professor at Willamette University. Jon is a Director\/Choreographer with the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, and has choreographed violence for over forty productions at professional theatres and\u00a0universities\u00a0throughout the midwest and northwest. His most recent choreography credits include\u00a0God of Carnage, The Cherry Orchard, Lieutenant of Inishmore <\/em>and Superior Donuts <\/em>at ART;\u00a0As You Like It<\/em> with Portland Shakespeare Project, and\u00a0Fortinbras<\/em> at Profile Theatre. Recent directing credits include Hot n’ Throbbing, the dreamer examines his pillow <\/em>and Macbeth <\/em>at the University of Oregon and\u00a0Woyzeck, Antigone<\/em>, beckett\/shorts<\/em>, and The American Dream\/The Sandbox <\/em>at Willamette University.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Chris Harder<\/strong> is a professional actor, educator and theatre maker dedicated to new work and artistic risk.\u00a0 With CoHo Productions he co-produced and played Eddie in Fool For Love<\/em>, and his own shows Fishing For My Father<\/em> and The Centering<\/em> have benefited from workshops and productions in the CoHo Theatre.\u00a0 Chris has appeared locally at Portland Center Stage, ART, Third Rail, Sojourn, Stark Raving, Sowelu, Profile, Well Arts, The Haven Project, and Portland Civic Theatre Guild.\u00a0In December he will play Joe in Angels in America<\/em> with Portland Playhouse.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tyler Hughs<\/strong>\u2019 performance career peaked in 1973 with his role as \u201cBoy with Marshmallows\u201d in a tv commercial for Montana Savings and Loan.\u00a0 Its steady decline has been punctuated by roles in Portland area Children\u2019s Theater, Shakespeare in the Parks, DOD Overseas Shows, and a role on TNT\u2019s Leverage. <\/em>For 7 years he was a member of Faces for Radio Theater, announcer, associate producer and best writer on Live Wire! Radio. As an improviser Tyler was a long time member of Brainwaves Improv Comedy and a short-time member of Super Project Lab. He is the proud father of two extremely awesome boys.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Paige Jones<\/strong> has been leasing herself out to Portland theatre companies for nearly 10 years, portraying characters as diverse as Shakespeare’s King Richard II, Vaclev Havel’s Mrs. Pludek, and William M. Hoffman’s Nurse.\u00a0 Two of her favorite shows have been performed at the CoHo:\u00a0 Stark Raving Theatre’s Electropuss<\/em> and The (original) Cold Comedy Concoction<\/em>.\u00a0 Paige Jones Sings!<\/em> debuted at Vanport Square Studio earlier this year — a cabaret show focusing on lesser-known American standards.\u00a0 Paige is a huge supporter of CoHo Theatre’s mission, and believes CoHo to be an integral and vital element of the Portland theatre community.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Sean McGrath<\/strong>: After an infamous scandal involving the Duchess of Finland and getting in way over his head with the Lebanese mafia, Sean found his way to Portland in 2002, and since has performed on stage with Live Wire Radio, Oregon Ballet Theater, Soap Street Theater, Sweat Sketch Comedy, and Road House, as well as a smattering of on-camera work (Everyman’s War<\/em>, \u201cLeverage\u201d, Twilight<\/em>, and Cell Count<\/em>.) Sean directed and co-wrote a series of award winning short films through his Cinema Syndicate Productions, and is exceptionally good at ordering the best item on the menu.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Cristi Miles<\/strong> is a native of El Paso, Tx and was last seen on the stage as Rosalind\u00a0 in Portland Shakepeare Project’s innagural production of As You Like It<\/em>. Other Portland credits include: Dying City<\/em> (Kelly) for which she won the Drammy award, El Grito Del Bronx<\/em> (Lulu) and various staged readings. Prior to living in beautiful Portland, OR she lived in Boston where she was a co-founder of Orfeo Group, an Elliot Norton Award winning company. Cristi has directed and taught at the Berkshire Theatre Festival and with numerous regional theaters nationwide including The Portland Actors Conservatory, Portland Playhouse, The Stoneham Theatre, The Huntington Theatre, New Repertory Theatre and The Boston Conservatory. As an actor she has worked regionally at: San Jose Rep, New Repertory Theatre, The Nora Theatre, Actors\u2019Shakespeare Project, The Stoneham Theatre, The Huntington Theatre, Profile Theatre, Coho Theatre, The Portland Civic Theatre Guild, and\u00a0New Rep on Tour. \u00a0She has trained with Anne Bogart and the SITI company, Double Edge Theatre Company, The Roy Hart Theatre company and is currently a Teacher Trainee at The Oregon Center for Alexander Technique. Cristi holds an MFA from Brandeis University and is a proud member of Portland Playhouse, PETEnsemble, Orfeo Group and Actors\u2019Equity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Eleanor O’Brien<\/strong> has been acting on Portland stages since forever. \u00a0(She made her professional acting debut at Storefront theater in 1980 to give you some context). \u00a0In 2005, worn down by NYC and the pressure to appear on Law and Order<\/em>, she wrote a solo show called GIrls’ Guide: Dominatrix for Dummies<\/em> and set off to tour the Canadian Fringe. \u00a0Arriving back in Portland in 2006, she took a class in devising theater from Michael Rohd (of Sojourne theater fame) and began to create pieces she felt passionate about – and thus Dance Naked Productions was born. \u00a0She has directed the last two incarnations of Inviting Desire: A Theatrical Aphrodisiac <\/em>and Pleasure.Permission.Possibility<\/em>…. and continues to explore and produce theater that celebrates and illuminates on the topic of sexuality.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jessica Wallenfels<\/strong> is a director\/choreographer, educator and performer. She choreographed Love\u2019s Labors Lost<\/em> for the 2011 Oregon Shakespeare Festival season, where she has also choreographed Romeo and Juliet<\/em> and Dead Man\u2019s Cell Phone<\/em>. In 2010 she directed\/choreographed original works Find Me Beside You<\/em> and Truth and Beauty<\/em> with her company, Many Hats Collaboration. Other original works with the company include Rest Room<\/em>, Mutt<\/em>,\u00a0Stages<\/em>, and Break, Then Open<\/em>. Regional choreography: Dancing at Lughnasa <\/em>(Seattle Repertory Theatre), The 39 Steps, Sometimes A Great Notion,\u00a0The Beard of Avon, Twelfth Night<\/em> (Portland Center Stage); Gracie and the Atom, Distracted<\/em> (Artists Repertory Theatre) as well as works at Tanglewood Music Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Old Globe Theater, and The Mark Taper Forum. New York: The Civilians<\/em> (Joe\u2019s Pub), Speed Hedda<\/em> (La Ma Ma e.t.c.), HERE Arts Center, ps 122, WAX, University Settlement, Culture Project. Wallenfels has been an adjunct professor as guest director of Dead Man\u2019s Cell Phone<\/em> at Portland Community College Sylvania, in addition to teaching for Portland Actors Conservatory, California State School of the Arts, Oregon Children\u2019s Theatre, Northwest Children\u2019s Theatre, and Northwest Academy. She holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts and attended Dell\u2019Arte International. She is a two-time Drammy Award winner for Outstanding Choreography and a PAMTA Award winner for Outstanding Choreography. Wallenfels has been an Associate Artist with Cornerstone Theater Company since 1999. Wallenfels will choreograph and perform in \u201cFamished\u201d at Portland Playhouse for the Fertile Ground Festival 2012 and guest direct\/choreograph The Adding Machine<\/em> at Willamette University.<\/p>\n
