At Coho Productions, we believe comedy is as diverse as the people who create it. Our event invites performers from all backgrounds and experience levels to share their unique perspectives, offering a mix of polished material, experimental acts, and works in progress. This isn’t just a night for seasoned pros—it’s a space where newcomers can take their first comedic leap and veterans can test the waters with bold new ideas.

1. What is it?

This is a comedy variety open mic where performers of all styles—stand-up, improv, sketch, musical comedy, clowning, or anything else that gets laughs—can showcase their talent. It’s a platform for creatives to test new material, share works in progress, or revisit their polished routines in front of an engaging and supportive audience.

2. What does the structure of the event look like?

• Doors Open: 6:30 PM
• Show Starts: 7:30 PM with a host kicking off the evening with a short, energetic set.
• Performers: Each participant gets 10 minutes MAX on stage.
• Intermission: A brief [10-15 minute] break in the middle for networking and refreshments. (maybe)
• Closing Act: A featured performer (optional) to end the night on a high note.
• Post-show mingling: Time for performers and audience to connect.

3. Who is it?

Anyone with a flair for comedy—whether you’re a seasoned performer, an emerging artist, or someone trying comedy for the first time. Our audience will be a mix of comedy enthusiasts, supporters of local talent, and those just looking for a good laugh.

6. Expectations or requirements to be selected:

• Past Work: If you’ve performed before, share a short video of your act. This helps us understand your style and ensure diversity in the lineup.
• Newbies Welcome: If it’s a work in progress or your first time, let us know. We’re here to support all levels of experience.
• Act Description: Provide a brief description of your act (type of comedy, themes, props, etc.).
• Commitment: Be ready to show up and perform your slot as scheduled.
