ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Freddie Mercury is arguably one of the most talented vocalists of the 21st century. Courtney Freed’s one-woman show Don’t Stop Me Now highlights his incredible range and dynamic stage presence through vocal driven jazz arrangements. Freed also brings to light the life experiences that shaped his talent and ultimately led to his untimely AIDS related death 1991. Don’t Stop Me Now is not simply a concert of Freddie Mercury’s music, but rather an homage paid to Mercury through the art of cabaret storytelling and a fresh musical take on his most beloved songs.

ABOUT COURTNEY FREED
Courtney is a musician, actress, producer, teacher, and mom of two wild little boys! After spending the last several years living and performing in Los Angeles and Chicago, Courtney recently came to her senses and returned to her beautiful hometown of Portland. No stranger to the local theatre scene, her most favorite recent role was Trina (Drammy nom!) in Falsettos at Live on Stage. She has also tread the boards of Portland Center Stage, Pixie Dust Productions, Broadway Rose, Lakewood Theater, Profile Theater, Triangle Productions and many more! Courtney is the creator of the wildly popular local concert series, Portland Sings!, bringing together some of the city’s finest vocalists for a magical evening in a variety of musical themes. As a producer and creator, she has helmed countless themed concerts, highlights including I’ll Stop the World and Belt with you, a John Hughesical and The Coco & Ruby Variety Hour. An avid lover of vintage jazz, her first album titled Happy Little Bluebird lovingly celebrates the timeless melodies of Harold Arlen. Courtney is also the lead singer of local gypsy swing band, The Jenny Finn Orchestra! learn more at courtneyfreed.com and courtneyfreedmusic.com
