ICP presents Lost. Found.

Lost. Found.
May 16 – 19, 2019

Lost. Found. is a collection of unique, immersive, comedic, interdisciplinary theatrical experiences that form a shifting adventure through a series of landscapes before the audience even enters the theatre. Clown ballet, an undetermined number of paper flowers, Ancient Greek stand-up, non-existent time, the grim reaper, and 15-20 styrofoam heads may make appearances. Created entirely by the Institute For Contemporary Performance 2018-19 Cohort, this imaginative work is inspired and informed by Maurice Ravel’s famous ballet orchestral piece Boléro, Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, choreographer/dancer Pina Bausch, poet Mary Oliver, animal mating habits, and Andrew Simonet’s financial workbook Making Your Life as an Artist.

ABOUT ICP

Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble’s Institute for Contemporary Performance (ICP) year-long program takes a unique laboratory approach to performance training. Faculty and students are engaged together in the process of hypothesis, research and outcome, and all classes strive to pose questions about the role of the theatre artist in the creation of performance for the 21st Century.
