On January 26Playwrights West premieres the Science On Stage Series: one-hour events featuring conversations with local scientists paired with excerpts from Playwrights West’s upcoming 2015 season production of Dear GalileoPlease join us as astronomer Rob Brown shares his most recent experiment on cosmic rays and black holes, followed by a vibrant discussion and audience Q&A with playwright Claire Willett.  

 
Dear Galileo has been workshopped by Artists Repertory Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse and Willamette University, and is the recipient of a 2011 Oregon Arts Commission Career Opportunity Grant. Learn more about this play and Playwrights West here.
Rob Brown works in the field of optics at a large aerospace company, designing head-up displays and playing with lasers and holograms. Astronomy has been one of his passions since he watched the first Moon landing. He has built his own telescopes, but none of them have shown him the face of God.
